Mike serves multiple roles in Delawareâ€™s Innovation and Entrepreneurial ecosystem. In 2013, Mike joined University of Delawareâ€™s Office of Economic Innovation and Partnerships (OEIP) as Associate Director. In that role, he is State Director of the Delaware Small Business Development Center (DSBDC) and President of the Delaware Technology Park (DTP). OEIP provides access to UDâ€™s knowledge and physical assets to benefit economic development and help support entrepreneurs across the State. The DSBDC provides advisory services for starting and growing small businesses. And since 1998, DTP has supported over 100 new technology-based companies resulting in 16,000 jobs created by the partnership of UD, the State and the private sector. During the 1990â€™s Mike was Vice President and General Manager for DuPont Advanced Materials and Systems, a $1 Billion global business unit. Mike serves on numerous Boards in Delaware and is a General Partner in early stage venture capital Leading Edge Ventures. He graduated as a Chemical Engineer and is a Distinguished Alumni from the University of Cincinnati and performed graduate studies at Wharton and Columbia.
